SPENCE, TROY - Of Grand Blanc, age 96, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026.
Funeral service will be held at 11am Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Richfield Church of the Nazarene, 7524 East Mount Morris Road, Otisville.
Pastor Alan Duce officiating.
Visitation will be held from 4-8pm Monday, February 9, 2026, at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, and Tuesday at 10am until the time of service at the church.
Private burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Troy was born in Flint, Michigan on November 24, 1929, the son of the late Tony and Pairlee (Jones) Spence.
He was a member and board of director at First Church of the Nazarene in Flint and most recently attended Richfield Nazarene Church.
Troy was the founder of Spen-Tech Machine and Engineering. He loved adventures and had many interests such as hunting, boating, motorcycles, photography, golfing and flying his plane he was a member of GFPA.
Surviving are his five children Gary (Diane) Spence, Linda (Brian) Hoye, Lisa (Jim) MacDonald, Janet Spence, and Troy (Dana) Spence;
Eleven beautiful grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren plus many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Erma Spence (His Angel).
