Jurvelin, Marion E. of Flushing, age 83, died Friday, January 2, 2015, at her home. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Flushing United Methodist Church. Rev. Jeanne Wisenbaugh will officiate. Visitation will be Noon Saturday at the church until time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Flushing United Methodist Church.
Marion was born in Laurium, MI on May 6, 1931, the daughter of John and Winifred (Eddy) Williams. She married Walfred J. Jurvelin on June 6, 1953.
Mrs. Jurvelin was a long time member of the Flushing United Methodist Church. She was very strong in her faith and sang in a church choir. She devoted her life to her family.
Marion is survived by her husband, Walfred; sons, Robert (Penny) Jurvelin, Donald (Marcie) Jurvelin; daughters, Marsha (Dave) Hollis, Shelley (Lenny) Hufton, Amy (Dee) Niver; daughter-in-law, Kim Davison; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one more expected in August; two brothers, Jim Williams and Annette Nickel, Fred (Jan) Williams; two sisters, Virginia Ruhl, Barbara (Al) Schwencer; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws and including special sister-in-law, Judy Williams. |
