SHAHEEN, Mr. Jamelle Rainelle "Ray" - Age 83, of Flushing, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026. Cremation has taken place and a graveside services will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions in Ray's name to Tunnel to Towers or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Ray was born March 3, 1942 in Logan, WV, the son of Alli and Kelba (Scaff) Shaheen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He married Cynthia Sue Zitterkoph April 16, 1988 in Holly. He retired from CSX Transportation. Ray had resided in Flushing for the past 6 years coming from Flint. He enjoyed cars and most of all spending time with his family.
Surviving are: his wife of 37 years, Cynthia; son, Chad (Maria) Zitterkoph of Flushing; grandchildren, Logan, Katarina and Riley Zitterkoph; sisters-in-law, Kathy (Gary) Kantard of Fenton, Jane (Perry) Pinder of Flushing and Peggy Zitterkoph of Sault Ste. Marie; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alli and Kelba Shaheen; brothers, Alli and Norman Shaheen; and sister, Betty Nolletti. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Nancy Wildey for all the love and assistance given to Ray. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
