Age: 68
Community: Chesaning, MI

Howard Vincent Ebenhoeh was the first-born child to Howard and Bonnie Ebenhoeh on June 21st, 1955, in Owosso, Michigan. After 48 hours of labor, he came into the world via emergency c-section and because of that – his dad was able to be released from basic training and be there for the birth. Howie grew up on the farm, and the farm grew with him. Him, his dad, and his two brothers milked cows, picked stones, bailed hay and eventually Howie grew into managing the herd. He was one of the first young farmers to learn the skill of artificial insemination and was the star-student of his godfather, Vince Ebenhoeh. Howie was active in 4-H and showed cows at the Saginaw County Fair. Howie started his education at St. Michael’s Catholic School and transitioned to New Lothrop High School (Class of 1973) where he met his beloved and beautiful wife, Denise. As their relationship grew, Howie obtained several jobs and eventually landed his dream job at McDonald Dairy. When McDonald dairy closed in Chesaning, he went to work for the family business as the manager of the Chesaning Heritage House. As the manager, Howie grew his abilities as a successful marketer for not only the Heritage House, but all of the Chesaning area. He worked side-by-side with the Chamber to put Chesaning on the map. He served his community well in many different positions, most recently as the President of the Saginaw Valley Agricultural Association. The new millennium brought changes for Howie as he decided to seek other career opportunities. After testing the waters in different occupations, he self-taught and passed the real estate exam. His hard work led him to great success and eventually his wife and son joined him in the business. Howie’s ability to reinvent himself and be self-taught has served him and his family well throughout his life. Purchasing the Stone House for his business and for out-of-town guests put Howie right back where he wanted to be, on the boulevard. His joy in life was generously providing an annual ski trip to his kids and grandkids and was so proud to pass down his passion for downhill skiing. Many memories were made on those ski hills and condos, and we will cherish them forever.

He is survived by his wife, Denise, of nearly 50 years – Son, Howie and Angela Ebenhoeh; and grandchildren Howie J., Layla, and Liam Ebenhoeh. Son, Tom Ebenhoeh; Son, Jonah and Allie Ebenhoeh. Siblings, Ron and Terry Ebenhoeh, Tim and Linda Ebenhoeh, Julie Leggett, Carol Wirgau, and Barb Birchmeier. In-Laws, Cheryl and Mike Chamberlain, Joe Kintgen, Brenda Sawyer, Bill and Terry Dennis, Connie Carr and Rob, Pete and Anita Stewart, and Rob Stewart. As well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
