MAGYAR, Virginia M., age 98, of Ringgold, Georgia, formerly of Clio, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Davison United Methodist Church, 207 E. Third Street, Davison, Michigan 48423; Pastor Rob McPherson officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10 AM, at the church. Interment at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.
Virginia was born in Flint, Michigan, on June 17, 1928, to the late Leo D. Bargy and Meryl S. (Phelps) Bargy. On June 21, 1947, she married the love of her life, Joseph "Bill" Magyar, at Davison United Methodist Church. Together, they built a life filled with love, shared dreams, unwavering devotion, and countless cherished memories.
Virginia is survived by her four daughters: Lynda (DeWayne) Uren of Ringgold, Georgia; Marcia (Paul) Smith of West Bloomfield, Michigan; Brenda (Bob) Smith of Burton, Michigan; and Pamela Hillock of Otisville, Michigan. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: Jodi (Ben) Keim, Cory (Kim) Uren, Michelle (Brandon) Murray, Jeremy (Natasha) Gray, Robert (Chris) Smith, Amanda (Dwayne) McMurrian, Colby (Bryan) Cain, Haylee (Shawn) Beardslee, and Stacy (Brian) Surdel; eleven great-grandchildren: Autumn, Evan, Ella, Jacob, Makenna, Ryland, Kellan, Magnus, Calum, Isabella, and Connor; her half-sister, Sharon Koyl; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Magyar; her parents, Leo and Meryl Bargy; her great-granddaughter, Hannah Smith; her brother, Duane Bargy; and her half-brother, Robert Howell.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate team at Hospice of Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia, especially CNA Misty Patrick and caregivers Tracy Ware and Candy Britton, for their years of loving care, kindness, friendship, and support. Their gentle compassion brought Virginia comfort, dignity, and joy, and their devotion will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Davison United Methodist Church.
