JAMRA, Mae - Of Swartz Creek, age 93, died Tuesday, June 30, 2026
at Wellbridge of Romeo.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4133 Calkins Road, Flint,
Father Pierre Bassil officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Our Lady of Lebanon Church.
Visitation 4-8pm Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10:30am Wednesday at church until the time of the Mass.
Mae was born in Flint, Michigan on May 24, 1933, the daughter of the late Sad and Sadie (George) Salem.
Mae was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church.
She graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1952 and went to work for General Motors until she got married in 1962.
She was co-owner of Jamra's Party Store in Flint with her late ex-husband George from 1966 to 1974. In her younger days she loved to bowl and travel around the United States. She enjoyed reading, loved cooking and spending time with her family.
Surviving are son, George Jamra;
daughter, Jeanette and husband Gary Kogelman;
grandchildren, Shannon (Tom) Lauer, Stephanee (Justin) Morris, Sabrina (Taylor) Hunt;
great grandchildren, Landon, Lucy, Vincent, Gino, Cecilia, Leander;
and brother, Joe.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Ernie and Eddie.
