BAZZELL, Russell – age 92, he peacefully passed away with his family at his side at Genesys Hospital on June 23, 2017 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 4pm – 8pm at Hill Funeral Home – 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 11am with one hour of visitation prior to the service at Hill Funeral Home. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery to follow. Russell was born on February 4, 1925 to Clarence and Tora (Stratton) Bazzell in Marble Hill, Missouri. Russell served in the United States Army Infantry during WWII. He retired from GM in 1982 and was a Deacon at a Baptist Church for many years. He enjoyed every moment he spent with his loving family. He was a wonderful man that will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Russell is survived by his wife, Iris Colleen; daughters: Charlotte (Les) Greer and Pamela Earns; grandchildren: Rusty (Denise) Pierson, Terrie (James) Stratton, Eric Earns, Jerad (Jessica) Earns; great-grandchildren: Amanda Pierson, Morgan Stratton, Kristoffer Pierson, Jamie Stratton, Gavin Earns, Evan Earns, Jasmine Earns; sister, Glenda Floyd. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, one sister, and son-in-law, Jim Earns. Please visit www.hillfh.com to leave online condolences for the family. |
