STURGEON, William Ross "Bill" - Age 88, of Flushing, passed away, Monday, June 5, 2023. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (A live stream of the service will be available on Bill's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Parkinson's Foundation.
Bill was born May 17, 1935 in Flint, the son of Enoch and Ellen (Dolliver) Sturgeon. He was a 1953 graduate of Linden High School. He married Doris Ellen Anderson April 14, 1956 in Flint. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Germany. Bill had resided in Flushing for the past 50 years coming from Flint. He retired from Michigan Bell (AT&T) as a linesmen after 40 years of service. He was a member of C.W.A. #4103. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Doris; children, Kim Marie Ouimet of Flushing, Kelly Lee Sturgeon of East Lansing and Tony Bryan of Flushing; grandchildren, Gabi, Morgan, Samantha (Shane), Amanda, Keith, and Jacob; great grandchildren, Lucy, Emma and Reagan; brother, Tommy (Debbie) Sturgeon of Burton; sister, Sue (Jerry) Brady of Fenton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Sturgeon; daughter, Katrina Bryan; and sister, Doris Canfield. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
