COTTON, Betty J. - Of Burton, age 88, died Friday, July 23, 2021 at her residence,
Funeral service will be held 1pm Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Mark Tyler officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 4-8pm Sunday and 1-8pm Monday at the funeral home.
Betty was born in California on July 24, 1932, the daughter of the late Frank and Lillian (Taylor) Nichols. Betty retired from General Motors Turnstedt after 15 years of employment. She attended Friendship Freewill Baptist Church. Betty also enjoyed traveling to the casinos. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are son, Byron (Teri) Cotton;
Daughter, Tammy Aulph;
Grandchildren, Nick (Katie) Cotton, Amanda (Brian) Fontaine, Chadd (Ashley) Aulph, Craig Aulph and Cameron Aulph (Jamie Dycus);
8 great-grandchildren;
Special cousins, Jennifer Berlanga and Bonnie Hoffmeyer;
Family friend, Bobby Venable;
her best friend, Mary Moody;
and numerous cousins, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Cotton and fiance, Denny Waffle.
