TOBIAS, Verna M. – Of Flint, formerly of Clio, age 98, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Nathans Place.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Doug Klein officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to Colonial Hills Baptist Church Youth Group of Mt. Morris or North Baptist Church Building Fund of Flint.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Friday and 12:30 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Verna was born in Brant Township, MI, on August 18, 1916, and was a resident of Clio for the past 67 years and currently a resident of Flint.
She married William (Bill) Tobias on December 25, 1937, in Saginaw.
She was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church, member of Vienna Chapter O.E.S. and past president of State YMCA Mothers Club.
Surviving are children, Dallas J. and wife Arlene Tobias of Davison,
Janet and husband Jerry Cooper,
Kirk and wife Rita Tobias, all of Grand Blanc;
six grandchildren and
nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; parents, Leslie and Frances Crites; sister, Velma Dolan.
