CONRAD, Rosemary – of Montrose, age 77, died Saturday, October 30, 2021 at her residence. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 4, 2021 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose, Michigan. Pastor Hal Phillips officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Rosemary was born December 30, 1943 in Flint, Michigan to the late Artis and Selma (Johnson) Gatewood. She grew up in Flint, Michigan and attended Kearsley High School with the class of 1962. She graduated from Mott Community College in 1972. She married SSG Lowell “Dean” Holden in 1961 and he preceded her in death in 1967. On June 26, 1971 she married Stanley Conrad in Montrose, Michigan. Prior to her retirement in 2000, Rosemary worked for Genesys Hospital as an Executive Secretary with 25 years of service. She was a member of the Montrose United Methodist Church, Red Hat Society, and the American Legion. Rosemary was a Gold Star wife. She enjoyed traveling, cruises, bowling, and line dancing. She loved going to Florida with her husband and being a Colonel’s wife.
Surviving are: Husband of 50 years, Stan; Children, Rafael Stowe, Mary (Randy) Cox, Cory Holden; Grandchildren, Crystal (Josh) Lowery, Melissa (Andrew) Schwab, Miranda Cox, Jorden Holden, Dylen Holden, Leona Holden, Hunter Holden; Great Grandchildren, Jonathan Lowery, Christian Lowery, Jamesan Lowery, Blake Schwab; Sister, Kathryn (John) Ayres; Sister in law, Eva (Murray) Vandefifer; Aunt, Virginia McCartney. She was preceded in death by her Parents; 1st Husband, SSG Lowell “Dean” Holden; Son in law, Dr. Kirk Stowe; Brother, Bob (Beatrice) Gatewood.
