MORENO, John M. “Mike” – of Fenton, formerly of Clio, age 59, died Monday, March 17, 2014 at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc. Memorial services will be held at 12 pm Friday, March 21, 2014 at First Metaphysical Church. 8267 E. Atherton Rd. Davison. 48423. Rev. Rhonda Sebert officiating. Visitation will be at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Thursday from 1-8pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association of the National Kidney Foundation.
John was born July 10, 1954 in Flint to the late Martin and Minnie (Ramon) Moreno. He graduated from Clio High School in 1972. John married Alma Horn on September 17, 1977 in Flint. He retired from Fisher Body Grand Blanc with 30 years seniority and was a member of the UAW Local # 1292. Mike loved music and his passion was singing. He sang for Huckleberry Junction and the Mueller’s Orchard Benefit for Cystic Fibrosis amongst various other events. Mike collected antiques and enjoyed fishing, golfing and birds.
Surviving are: wife, Alma; children, Rachel Moreno of Fenton, Rebecca Moreno of Scottsdale, AZ; siblings, Roxy Moreno of Davison, Tom Moreno of Clio, Rick (Sue) Moreno of Clio, Tony (Kathy) Moreno of Saginaw; many nieces, nephews and close friends.
