Gibbs, Jackie L. – of Mount Morris, age 73, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Hurley Medical Center of Flint. Funeral services will be held 2PM Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at St. Martin Lutheran Church. Pastor Jim Chinery officiating. Burial to follow at Smith Hill Cemetery in Otisville. The family will receive visitors at the church on Wednesday from 11AM until the time of service at 2PM. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family for future designation.
Jackie was born October 19, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Clarence and Genevieve (Wheaton) Smith. She married Paul H. Gibbs, Jr. on April 1, 1972, he preceded her in death in June of 2012. Jackie was a loving, caring, and selfless mother and grandmother who worried about everyone and always wanted the best for them. She enjoyed shopping, rummage sales, cooking, gardening, and canning. Jackie loved frogs, hummingbirds, and her Indian heritage, Above all Jackie loved being a mother and spending time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are Children: Dawn (Frank) Watson, Carrie (Bob) Hadley, Linda (John Wainio) Gibbs, Paul (Rebecca) Gibbs; 13 Grandchildren and Several great-grandchildren; Siblings: Lawrence Smith, Connie Freiberger, and Linda Haven, Several nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Gibbs, Jr; Parents, Clarence Smith and Genevieve Green; Daughters: Lisa Buska and Tracey Amore; Brother, Dennis Smith.
