WEIDNER (HAMBY), Margaret “Ruth” – Of Davison, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 9, 2015.
Memorial Service will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Visitation 3 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at the funeral home.
Cremation has taken place.
Ruth was born in Lenoir, North Carolina on September 11, 1950 and spent most of her childhood moving between the mountains of North Carolina and Flint.
After marrying Randy Weidner on June 10, 1966, she settled in Flint with her husband, raised her family, and was a resident for over 50 years.
Ruth began a 20 year career at J.C. Penny after her children were school-age. She enjoyed reading a variety of print and was sure to read her Bible daily.
Through the years Ruth collected many things, including two of her favorites; her dolls and hummingbird items.
Ruth is survived her children, Randy Weidner, Jr.,
Carey (Jim) Shemes and
Heather (Bill) McMullen;
mother, Eulayla Hamby;
brothers, William Hamby and Kenneth (Sandra) Hamby;
grandsons, Nicholas, Tanner, Austin, Sawyer and Dylan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Weidner; father, Marshall Hamby; brothers, John and Larry Hamby.
She will be missed and loved always.
