BARAN (PAUL), Lorraine Nancy – Of Goodrich, age 62, died Sunday, November 11, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Inurnment of cremains at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.

Lorraine was born in Garden, City, Michigan on May 6, 1956, the daughter of Michael and Anna (Nagy) Paul. On July 8, 1993 she married Mark Baran at the Fenton Museum. She was on the University of Michigan Breast Cancer Advisory Committee, ASCO, ABCD, Advocates in Science (Komen), PCORI SIO, Michigan Breast Cancer Coalition, NBCC and Research Advocate for the DOD. Lorraine was a medical laboratory technician, author and breast cancer patient advocate.
Surviving are husband Mark;
sister, Carol and husband David Butler;
step-sons, Jon and wife Jennifer Baran and Steve Baran;
granddaughter, Melody Nicole Baran;
sister-in-law, Laura and husband Robert Palco, Pam and husband Rob Thomas;
several nieces, nephews and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ann and Mike Paul and nephew, James Locus.
