Carol I. Piske, age 94, of Burton, Michigan passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024 surrounded by her family. Carol was born in Caro, Michigan June 15, 1929 to the late Carl and Oril Peterson. Carol married the love of her life Franklin Piske on December 31, 1950. They were married for nearly 72 years, until his passing in December of 2022. Carol was a High School secretary for 5 years. She was a devoted wife and mother; enjoying every moment spent with her family. She also loved tending to her flowers, gardening, canning, embroidering and walks with Franklin. Carol was a kind, compassionate and loving woman, she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children: Paul (Iris) Piske of Grand Blanc, David (Vickie) Piske of Lincoln, Diane (Carl) McElrath of Davison; grandchildren: Sherrie (Dan) Smith, Jackelyn Smith, Rory (Nate) Lemoine, Ryan (Chrystal) Piske, Stacey (Paul) Michanowicz, Jenny (Mark) Andrews, Jaime (Noah) Smalley, Jessica (Randy) O'Neal, Sarah (Andy) Ricketts; 24 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Oril Peterson; sisters: Wilma Christian, Shirley Peterson, Frances Lajoie; son, Mark Piske; and husband, Franklin Piske. Private family services will be held and Carol will be laid to rest next to her husband at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc, Michigan.
