Born in Saginaw on January 18, 1982, Chris grew up in Bridgeport before settling in Montrose, the community he proudly called home for many years. Even in his youth, Chris displayed a love for learning and leadership. During high school he participated in DECA and Possible Dreams through Delta College—experiences that helped shape the caring, service-minded person he became. He later earned dual associate degrees from Delta College, dual bachelor’s degrees from Northwood University, and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan–Flint.
Chris was generous with his time, knowledge, and heart. He loved teaching, inspiring students at both Delta College and Mott Community College. Beyond the classroom, he excelled professionally as a Senior Network Engineer, where he was known for his expertise, patience, and willingness to help anyone who needed support.
Community service was a defining part of Chris’s life. He served as Past President of the Montrose Eagles, contributed as a board member of the Clio Center for the Arts, was actively involved with the Friends of the Montrose–Jennings Library, and proudly served on the Montrose Community Schools Board of Education. His faith was also an important part of who he was. Chris loved God and joyfully volunteered in the IT booth at Real Life Church in Montrose.
Chris leaves behind his loving wife, Stephany Zolinski (Tucker); his daughters, Alexis and Alivia; his mother, Christina Zolinski; his brother, Brian Zolinski; and many extended family members, including Kimberly & Rick Goodfellow, Brian Tucker, Hunter & Kelsey Tucker, Kyle Zeeb, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Alan Zolinski, and sister-in-law Meloney Zeeb.
More than anything, Chris cherished time with his family. He loved traveling, visiting zoos in several states, gaming, and sharing his enthusiasm for wrestling. His family will forever treasure these memories and the joy he brought to every moment.
Chris will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, his deep faith, and his unwavering dedication to others. His impact will live on in his family, his students, his community, and all who were blessed to know him.
