Hempsall, William Frank – of Clio, age 88, died Saturday, May 2, 2020, at his residence. A private burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery on Thursday, May 7, 2020. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Michigan Food Bank.
Bill was born July 2, 1931, in Flint, Michigan to the late William and Laura (Eyer) Hempsall. He was a U.S. Army, Korean War veteran. Bill married Agnes Halligan on October 2, 1954. He was a former employee of Consumers Energy and he retired from GM’s AC Spark Plug Division. Bill was also a longtime employee of the Benjamin & Whipple and O’Guinn Family Funeral Homes. He was a member of Saints Charles & Helena Catholic Church in Clio and was a longtime member of the Usher’s Club. Bill was also a member of the VFW, American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed woodworking and golf.
Surviving are: Wife, Agnes of 65 years; Children: Kevin (Beth) Hempsall, Kelley Pattison, Kay Hempsall-Williamson (David); Grandchildren: Joseph, Allie, and Kathryn; Bill was also preceded in death by his son in law, Dr. Dale Pattison.
