PERKINS, Mary Nell (Cunningham) - Of Grand Blanc, age 63, died peacefully with her children by her side Thursday, November 20, 2025, at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Visitation will be at 1-8pm Tuesday and 10am Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to the Ronald MacDonald House.
Mary was born in Flint, Michigan on April 19, 1962 the daughter of the late John and Marjorie Cunningham. Mary graduated from Swartz Creek High School, Class of 1980. She earned her nursing degree from Mott Community College. Mary enjoyed pontoon boat rides at their family cabin on Long Lake, gardening, growing house plants and cooking meals for her family. She was also an avid NASCAR fan. Mary cherished her time spent with family and friends. She was a universal mom and everybody’s friend. Mary was employed by Henry Ford Genesys Hospital for 35 years and was a member of Teamsters Local #332. She was a dedicated employee and worked well with everyone.
Surviving are son, Ronald Perkins III;
Daughters, Jessica (Jeremy) Chaney, Amanda (James) Quasarano and Ashley Perkins;
Grandchildren, Elaina and Carson and great-granddaughter, Alaia;
Many nieces, nephews and cousins;
And her two fur babies, Sammy and Chili.
She was also preceded in death be her daughter, April Cunningham, grandson, Braydon Chaney, sister, Nancy Jennings, and brothers, Kenneth and Joseph Young.
