Richard Lee Butcher Sr., age 84 passed away peacefully August 27, 2026. He was born March 23, 1942 to Lorine (Kueber) and William Butcher. He was the youngest of eight children. Richard graduated from Atherton High School in 1960 and after graduation he went on to become a master builder. During his successful career, Richard built houses from Michigan to Florida. He was a dedicated born again Christian and he loved to speak and preach the scriptures. To him no one was a stranger! Richard was a missionary for Sweet Savour Ministries (II Corinthians 2:15) and traveled to Swaziland, Mozambique and Malawi. During his extensive travels for the ministries, he would purchase shoes or uniforms for less fortunate children. Richard is survived by his five children, Lori (Timothy) Crabb, Richard (Mona) Butcher Jr., Robert (Chrissy) Butcher, Christopher Butcher and Rosalind Butcher-Savoie, 9 grandchildren, 22, great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. |
