COGGINS, Mildred Janet (Putnam) – of Goodrich, MI, age 95, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 10 AM Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Living Grace Community Church, 334 North Main Street, Davison, MI 48423; David Pompo officiating. Inurnment immediately following the service in Richfield Union Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 9-10 AM Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Living Grace Community Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, in Mildred Janet’s memory.
Mildred Janet was born in Pontiac, MI on December 5, 1922, daughter of the late John and Etta Mae (Freeman) Putnam. She married Ellis E. Coggins on August 4, 1945 and he preceded her in death on December 15, 2013. Mildred Janet loved spending time with her family. Her favorite family events were the Coggins Camp-Out and Christmas Eve.
Mildred Janet is survived by 3 children, Euwilda “Sandy” (Bryon) Perry, Charlotte (Douglas) Horton and Wayne (Debie) Coggins; 8 grandchildren, Matthew (Kathy) Stimson, Mark (Kim) Smith, Kittie (Mark) Free, Bradley (Tracy) Smith, Troy (Paige) Horton, Steven (Judy) Horton, Crystal Polizzi and Joy (Nick) O’Neill; 28 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
