EVANS, Virginia Lee, age 84, of Flint, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at home. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc., Rev. Tom Mattiuzzo officiating. Visitation will be Saturday 1:00-8:00PM and Sunday 1:00PM until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Riverside Tabernacle or Genesee County Humane Society.
Virginia was born February 18, 1929 in Custer, Michigan. She married Charles Evans on September 1, 1950 and he preceded her in death in 1998. Virginia was employed by A.C. Spark Plug until her retirement in 1982 with over 30 years of service. She was a member of Riverside Tabernacle and in spare time loved to go shopping. Virginia was a very social lady who had many friends and neighbors she enjoyed time with. She was especially fond of her dog, Abby who she spoiled rotten.
Surviving are her son, Gregg Evans of Flint; daughter, Marcia June (Michael) of Davison; grandson, Matthew June of Davison. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Goldie Riley; sisters, Doris Adams and Margie Kintner; brothers, Gary and Bill Riley.
