PAINTER, William – Of Grand Blanc, age 71, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at his residence.

A private funeral service will be held at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.

Reverend Robert Flowers officiating.

Visitation 10am to 12 Noon Monday, February 22, 2021 at the funeral home. Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time. Mask, group capacity and distancing guidelines must be practiced.

Burial in Flint Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

William was born in Flint, Michigan on May 7, 1949, the son of Thomas and Doris (Ledrow) Painter. William was employed with General Motors V8 plant for 30 years, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed fishing, going to the casinos, hunting, golfing, bowling, baseball, watching any kind of sport on television and spending time with his family.

Surviving are wife, Mary;

Children, Tommy Painter (Dale McBride), Tanya (Michael) LeJeune, Karrie (Randy) Craddock, Jon (Megan) Painter;

7 grandsons and 1 great-grandson;

Mother, Doris Painter;

Brother, Jimmy Painter; Sister, Garneta Vaughn;

Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Deborah and Fred Smith,
Charlie and Mary Rogers;

Brother-in-law, Lee Rogers;

Several nieces and nephews; And his loving cat, Reiley.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Painter and brothers, Lyle Rose and Dale Rose.
