Paul Misener, age 90, passed away at his home in Millington, Michigan, on Tuesday, January 27th.
Paul was born in Lapeer, Michigan, on May 19th, 1935, to the late Wesley Misener and Rosa Maud Rickman. He attended Lapeer High School and graduated in 1954. While working at AC Spark Plug in Flint, Michigan, he met and eventually married his beautiful wife, Madeline (Cookie) Misener, on April 29th, 1966. The two settled in Millington and raised four wonderful children together.
Paul enjoyed playing euchre, shooting pool, playing shuffleboard, coaching youth baseball, gardening, taking care of his farm, working on small engines, riding his tractors, and spending time with his family. In his younger years, he also enjoyed pheasant hunting with his family.
Paul is survived by his brother, Bob (Barb) Rutherford (Boston, MA), and four children: Paulie Misener, Rhonda (Tom) Russ, Scott Misener, and Stacy (Lou) Coriasso. His 7 Grandchildren: Amber (Dustin) McCoy, Jennifer (Kerry) Scott, Randi Russ (William Meredith), Bryce Russ, Ashley (Chad) Vander Kam, Courtney Misener, Tyler Misener, and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline Misener; his father, Wesley Misener; his mother, Rosa Maud Rickman; his sisters, Cleo Stanton, Dorothy Draper, Lucille Bonesteel, Olive Rutherford, Shirley Sischo, and baby sister, infant Mary Jane. Brothers Frank Misener, Jack Misener, Wesley (Stub) Misener, Bill Rutherford, and his granddaughter, Brandy Wythe.
He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His memory will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be missed immensely.
A gravesite burial was held on Friday, February 6th, at 11:00 AM at Thetford Township Cemetery. A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, May 16th, from 1:00-6 pm at the Thetford Township Hall, 4014 East Vienna Rd, Clio, MI 48420.
