STRICKLER, James D. - Of Jackson, age 41, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Eddie Phillips officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 4-8pm Sunday and 2-8pm Monday at the funeral home.
Jim was born in Flint on August 16, 1976, the son of Robert and Patricia (Resseguie) Strickler. He graduated from Goodrich High School, Class of 1994 and then attended Central Michigan University.
Jim moved to Jackson and worked for various companies over the years.
Jim was an avid football fan, cheered for the Detroit Lions and loved spending time with his family, especially his children. He was a kind, compassionate man and his world revolved around raising his 3 kids.
He was so proud of his kids and they were the most important thing in his life.
Surviving are children, Caleb, Lylla and Brooklynn;
mom and step-dad, Pat and Larry Crowder;
dad, Bob Strickler;
sister, Laura and husband Daniel Terryah;
many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother Richard (Rick) Strickler, grandparents, Bob and Ethel Resseguie, George and Lillian (Cookie) Strickler.
