THEODORE, Eileen - Age 86, of Fenton, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 AM Saturday, November 18, 2017 at St. John Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton St., Davison, MI 48423. Fr. Carl Simon officiating. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Friday from 1-8 PM where a rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm and at church Saturday from 10:30 AM until the time of Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
Eileen was born September 29, 1931 in Flint, the daughter of Francis Roland and Helen Evelyn (Groh) Valley. She was a 1950 graduate of Flint Northern High School. She married Eli "Carl" Theodore September 2, 1950 in Flint and he preceded her in death April 5, 2016. Eileen was a member and served in many capacities at St. Leo Catholic Church; she also was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital in Flint for 28 years and also worked for the Flint Election Board for over 30 years.
Surviving are: 4 children, Karen (Boyd) Marley, Kathryn (Barry) Brow, Douglas (Pam) Tsaldaris, and Lisa (Wayne) Roedel; 9 grandchildren, Tiffany (Mic) Brown, Jessica (Robert) Hetherton, Tatum (Joel Mewton) Theodore, Zachary (Michelle) Theodore, Andrew Marley, John Marley, Olivia Roedel, Emma Roedel, and Grace Roedel; 8 great grandchildren, Parker, Lily, Logan, Luke, Callen Eli, Mike, Vance, and Everlee; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Alta Holser, Donna Turner, and Shirley Funch; brothers, Donald, Roland, and Dennis Valley. Online tributes may be posted on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
