Grace was born in Frederic, MI on January 13, 1935, daughter of the late George and Myrtle (Tremble) Locke. As the cherished matriarch of a close-knit family, Grace leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and unwavering devotion that will continue to inspire generations to come. Grace shared a beautiful marriage with her beloved husband, Donald “Duke” Greanya, the love of her life. Though they were separated by death for 44 years, her family finds comfort and peace in knowing they are now reunited in God’s eternal embrace. Known affectionately as “Ma” by family and friends, Grace was a devoted Christian who lived her life with Christ at the center of all she did. Her faith guided her every step and was reflected in the kindness, compassion, and strength she showed throughout her life. After her relationship with God, there was nothing more important to Grace than her family. Together, Grace and Duke raised their daughters; Meriann Lynn Hazel and Diane Lee Magnus with love and strong values, creating a foundation that continues to flourish through their family. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Sarah (Thomas) Thompson, Jonathan (Brianne) Uptegraff, Laura (Rick) Moore, Christopher (Maegan) Laugavitz, and eight great-grandchildren, Emma, Julian, Amelia, Millie, Haven, Lucca, Margaret and Conner, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Grace made it her mission to be actively involved in each of their lives, ensuring every child and grandchild felt uniquely loved and valued. To this day, each one remains convinced they were her favorite - a testament to her remarkable ability to make everyone feel cherished. Grace was blessed with 91 years of life and enjoyed remarkable health and independence throughout nearly all of it. Her strength, resilience, and positive spirit were a blessing to those who knew her.

While her family grieves the loss of her physical presence, they take comfort in knowing that God has called her home after a long, healthy, and joy-filled life. They find peace in the knowledge that she has been reunited with her husband and the many loved ones who went before her. Though Ma is no longer with us on earth, her legacy lives on in the faith she shared, the values she instilled, and the family she loved beyond measure. Her memory will be treasured forever, and her love will continue to guide and bless those fortunate enough to have called her sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Grace is survived by two daughters, Meriann Hazel and Diane Magnus; four grandchildren, Sarah (Thomas) Thompson, Jonathan (Brianne) Uptegraff, Laura (Rick) Moore and Christopher (Maegan) Laugavitz; seven great-grandchildren, Emma, Julian, Amelia, Millie, Haven, Lucca, Margaret and Conner; sister-in-law, Patricia Locke; several nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Myrtle Locke; beloved husband, Donald “Duke” Floyd Greanya; four siblings, Donald, Nancy, Maxine and George; son-in-law, John Hazel and great-granddaughter, Haven Grace Thompson.
