Joshua Alan Morgan

Born: 10/25/1956
Died: 6/10/2026
Age: 69
Community: Swartz Creek, MI

Joshua Alan Morgan, lovingly known as “Alan” to his family and “Jessie” to his friends, passed away on June 10, 2026, at the age of 69.

Born on October 25, 1956, Alan lived a life that was impossible to ignore. He was the life of the party, the source of laughter at every gathering, and the person who could turn an ordinary moment into a story that could be told for years. His quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and larger than life personality made him unforgettable to everyone who knew him.

Alan spent many years working at General Motors and he built friendships that lasted a lifetime. Many of his friends remained by his side for more than 50 years, which is a testament to the loyalty, love, and connection he inspired in others.

He had a heart as big as his personality. Alan would help anyone in need, often putting others before himself. He was a devoted animal lover, an enthusiastic gardener who found joy in plants, flowers, and landscaping. He loved his jewelry, treasured time with the people he cared about, and never missed an opportunity to make people laugh.

Alan was also wonderfully stubborn-a trait that those who loved him know well. He lived life on his own terms and remained unapologetically himself.

Alan was preceded in death by his father Irvin J. Morgan, his sister Darby L. Nearing.

He is survived by his loving mother Wilma J. Morgan, Brother Brian Morgan (Andrea Morgan), his niece Tiffany Amaya (Donald Amaya), Nephew Richard Nearing (Rosalie Nearing), and his niece Katie Miller (Spencer Miller), four great nephews, countless friends, and all those fortunate enough to have shared in his laughter, friendship, and generosity.

He leaves behind a legacy carried in the hearts of the many people whose lives he touched.

In accordance with Alan’s wishes, no funeral service will be held and he will be cremated.

Alan’s absence leaves a tremendous void, but his humor, kindness, and unforgettable spirit will continue to live on in every family gathering, every shared memory, and every story that begins with, “Remember when Alan…”

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
