Nancy Roberta Williams October 21, 1934 – October 24, 2020
On Saturday October 24, 2020 Nancy Roberta Williams, aka “Mama Nance” to her grandchildren, passed on at the age of 86 years.
She was born on October 21, 1934 to Nicholas “Aggie” and Minna Morley Agarino in Barranquilla, Colombia.
Nancy attended the University of Michigan where she met her husband Jerry Williams. She later graduated from Eastern Michigan with a teaching degree.
Nancy and Jerry had two children, Sherri Gleason, and Matthew Williams. They were blessed with two granddaughters, Alyssa McKissack, and Tara McClendon, and one adorable grandchild, Brooks McKissack.
Nancy had a larger than life personality and was always the life of the party. She grew up in Colombia, but Michigan was where her heart was, especially enjoying the changing of the seasons. She loved to travel, loved animals (especially her beagle Baxter), loved to have fun, and loved teaching. Most of all she loved her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Williams and later in life, companion Jerry Miller, her parents Aggie and Minna and her sister Marilyn Fillbrandt.
She is survived by her children Matthew Williams, Sherri Gleason and her husband Terry Gleason, her granddaughters Alyssa and Tara and Tara’s husband Barrett McClendon and Alyssa’s son, grandson Brooks McKissack; sister in laws Lynn, Kathy; nieces Marilyn, Janet, Elizabeth and numerous other loved family members and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. E.J. Daros and his son Dr. Antony Daros for always taking such great care of Nancy.
