HOMANS, Clara – of Mt. Morris, age 85, went peacefully home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Angel Manor. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church – 11110 Saginaw St., in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Roy Horning officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park to follow. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Clara was born April 18, 1940, in Flint, to the late Ernest and Eleanor (Sophia) Carpenter. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School and worked at General Motors for many years before retiring from Delphi. Clara was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for many years and the UAW 659. During her younger years, Clara enjoyed being outdoors riding her bike or tending to her yard, and she liked reading short stories or solving puzzle books. Above all else, she loved her family dearly and cherished time spent with them. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Angel Manor and McLaren Hospice for their compassionate care and love during Clara’s final days.
Clara is forever loved by: Children: Jennifer (Larry) Lince, Barbara (Del) Crane, Michele (Larry) Woods, and John (Holly) Homans; Grandchildren: Gina (Jason) Hodgins, Kyle (Nicole) Woods, Trent (Kayla) Woods, Maverick Homans, and Brooke (Sheldon) Jackson; 7 Great Grandchildren; Sister-in-law, Alice Martin; Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Clara was preceded in death by: Beloved Grandson, SFC Steven M. Lince; Parents; 2 Brothers and 2 Sisters. |
