FIEWIG, Barbara K. – of Clio, age 79, died on Saturday, December 6, 2020 at her residence. Private family services will be held. Honoring Barbara’s wishes, cremation will be taking place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Whaley Children’s Center, or H.I.S Ministry (Helping Individuals Succeed).
Barbara was born April 1, 1941 in Flint, Michigan to the late Kenneth and Ardith (Thompson) Philo. She graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1959 and later earned her associate degree from Flint Junior College. Barbara married Hooley A. Fiewig on June 18, 1960 in Flint. She worked as a medical assistant with Dr. Doyle for many years. Barbara enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and scrapbooking. She also enjoyed traveling globally with her husband with trips to China, Morocco, Russia, and most of Europe and especially to Italy. They also enjoyed several cruises. Above all, Barbara loved spending time with her grandchildren, they were her greatest joy in life.
Surviving are: Loving husband, Hooley Fiewig; Children: Hooley “Alan” (Peg) Fiewig, Jr., Laura (Tony) Tulgetske, and Scott (Karen) Fiewig; 9 grandchildren: Sean (Rosie) Tulgetske, Kailey Fiewig, Mitch Fiewig, Tanner Tulgetske, Grant Fiewig, Hannah Fiewig, Zach Tulgetske, Spencer Fiewig, and Cole Fiewig; Brother, Robert (Karen) Philo; Many nieces, nephews other loving family members and dear friends.
