TODD, Shirley Loretta – Of Flint, age 87, died Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at McLaren-Flint.
A private Going Home Celebration will be held at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Reverend Jim Hibbard officiating.
Visitation 12-2pm Monday, December 7, 2020 at the Swartz Funeral Home.
Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time. Mask, group capacity and distancing guidelines must be practiced.
Contributions may be directed to the family.
Shirley was born in Grand Blanc, Michigan on August 23, 1933, the daughter of the late Samuel and Audrey (Lewis) Courter. Shirley was employed at Flint General Hospital for 20 years. She was a member of New Creation Church of God and was also a member of Christian Bowling League for years. Shirley enjoyed crocheting, cooking, reading and socializing.
Surviving are children, Walter Jr. (Debra) Todd, Audrey Todd and Cynthia (Kevin) Myrant;
Grandchildren, Walter III (Lisa), Brandie (Dave) Sabourin, Aurelia, Aubriel, Nanette and Shirlette.
13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Todd Sr., son, Samuel Vincent, daughter, Shirley and brother, Samuel Courter.
