Died: 12/16/2025
Age: 72
Community: Owosso, MI

Charles Emery Craft, age 72, of Owosso, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, surrounded by love.

Chuck was born on August 5, 1953, in Owosso, the son of Clifford Emery and Mary Rose (Thompson) Craft. He spent much of his life in the Durand, Bath, and Owosso areas after moving from California. Chuck retired from Machine Tool and Gear in Owosso. In addition to his work there, Chuck owned and operated a Framing Studio, a business where he took great pride in offering custom framing options, helping clients preserve memories with beautifully crafted frames. Earlier in his life, Chuck also worked in cable installation, but his career was cut short after a serious accident when a pole broke while he was in the air.

Chuck is survived by his beloved partner, Sandy England of Owosso; his brothers, Ron Craft of Lennon, Terry (Wendy) Greig of Durand, his sister, Judy (Chuck) White of Durand; nieces, nephews, including: Ronda (Aaron) Alejos, Wendy (Jason) McKenzie, Steve (Dana) Goad, Heather Collins, Tad Greig, Brett Greig, Devin Greig, Jamie (Eric) Brabant, Polanda Bennett, Scott (Jennifer) White, and Dan White. Many great nieces and nephews which he loved greatly. Chuck was deeply loved by his family and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Rick Craft, Don Greig, Davey Craft; his sister, Cindy Sember; nephews, Michael Greig and Ronnie White; and his niece, Makenna Goad.

Chuck had an unwavering love for the Lord, preaching and teaching throughout Canada. He was an avid lover of nature and could always be found outdoors, whether fishing, hunting, or training his dogs and pigeons for races. He enjoyed his time with his dogs Lobo and Whi. He was also an accomplished artist, spending many hours in his studio, where he continued to draw and create after his retirement. Chuck’s generosity was evident in his devotion to family and friends, and his selfless giving touched the lives of everyone around him.

Chuck’s greatest love was his partner, Sandy the other half that made them each whole. Together, they shared a love for nature, animals, and the Lord. Over time, Chuck also formed a bond with Sandy’s daughter, Mary, and Chuck welcomed both into our family with open arms.

After a brave fight with cancer, Chuck approached his transition with grace and a peaceful heart. He was determined to care for Sandy in any way he could, and in his final words, he said: "It’s not over; I’m just going to a better place. I’ll get us a hunting spot ready, brother."

Chuck will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His love, faith, and spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
