SHIPPERLEY, Lillian Imogene (Taylor) – of Montrose, age 80, died Monday, March 31, 2025 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 7, 2025 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. Pastor Wally Rose officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Lillian was born October 11, 1944 in Big Rock, Tennessee to the late Joseph and Rowena (Mathis) Taylor. She grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Flushing High School with the class of 1986. Lillian received her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and Social Work from Mott Community College in 1992. On January 13,1968 she married Ronald Shipperley in Flint, Michigan. Lillian was a member of the Clio Eagles Aerie # 3609, the Clio Bowling Leagues and the VFW Post # 8236. She enjoyed reading, painting, ceramics, and playing cards. Lillian liked going to Goodwill, cooking, and canning things from her garden. However, her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Husband of 57 years, Ronald Shipperley; Children, Carmen Summers, Brent (Marie) Shipperley, Troy (Angie) Shipperley; Grandchildren, Autumn (Emeric) Robert, Samantha Jean Shipperley, Heath Cromwell, Zachary Cromwell, Bryce Reno; Great Grandchildren, Nova Marie Robert, Korbyn Cromwell; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Siblings, Woody Taylor, Delbert “Chief” Taylor, Ronald “Tony” Taylor, Freddie Taylor, Mildred Louise Taylor (Phelps).
