Age 27 of Owosso passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 due to a dirt bike accident.
Funeral services will be held 4pm, Friday, August 1, 2014 at Nelson-House Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery . The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home in Owosso on Thursday from 4 to 8pm.
Christopher was the son of Ray and Rebecca (Johnson) Schanick born in Flint, MI on July 20, 1987.
Christopher was a graduate of Owosso High School, class of 2006 and attended Baker College earning a degree in business management.
He was employed at Machine Tool and Gear as a machinist.
Christopher enjoyed playing basketball, hunting, fishing and playing on a pool league with his brother Danny. He looked forward to spending time with his family; especially his daughter Sophia and his niece Nat Nat.
Christopher is survived by his daughter Sophia and her mother and long time girlfriend Shanel Cantu; parents Ray and Becky; brother Danny; niece Natalie; beloved dog Brittany; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends.
He was predeceased by his grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to an Education Fund at First Merit Bank for his daughter Sophia.
