HOPKINS, Anne LaVonne “Bonnie” - Of Flint, age 83, died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at her residence.
Visitation will be held 10:00 am Monday, May 4, 2015 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley Street, Flint, 48504 until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11am Monday.
Father Thomas Firestone officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary in Monroe, Michigan or the Genesee County Humane Society. She was known for her love of cats.
LaVonne was born in Flint on September 22, 1931. She graduated from St. Michael High School, Class of 1949. LaVonne moved to Decatur, Illinois in 1951 and attended nursing school in Springfield, Illinois, moving back to Flint in 1965. LaVonne was an Anesthetist Nurse at St. Joseph Hospital, retiring in 2001. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
Surviving are sisters, Sr. Marie Hopkins and Fosteen Stewart;
many nieces and nephews.
LaVonne was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Nora (Murphy) Hopkins, and sister, Raylene Lee.
