Greg Jr. achieved the rank of Sergeant in the US Marine Corps, proudly serving from June 1999 to August 2003. Greg Jr. was in the first group of Marines to enter Iraq in 2003 for Operation Iraqi Freedom. He and his unit were instrumental in securing Iraq, earning him the prestigious Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal, which is awarded to servicemen and women for exceptional accomplishments in combat. Greg Jr. also received a purple heart for injuries incurred during battle.
