McCAUGHNA, Gilbert Anthony "Mac" - Age 92, of Swartz Creek, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023. Per Mac's request cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
Mac was born August 20, 1931 in Bay City, the son of Arthur D. and Rose Louise (Randall) McCaughna. He was a 1949 graduate of St. Michael Catholic High School in Flint and he attended Marietta College in Marietta, OH. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. He married Audrey L. Hall May 17, 1958 in Flint and she preceded him in death August 26, 2015. Mac retired from General Motors as a accountant. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family.
Surviving are: his children, Daniel (Linda) McCaughna of Goodrich, Jennifer McCaughna of Battle Creek, Adam (Jackie) McCaughna of Laingsburg, Lara (Jeff) Boggs of Davison and David (Anna) McCaughna of Okemos; grandchildren, Ryan, Katie, MiKayla, Sabrina, Andy, Michael, Nick, Hoyt, Toula, Theia, Issa and Kella; great grandchildren, Stetson and Summer.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Rose McCaughna; and sister, Cora Miller. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
