Carol was born October 31, 1935 in Flint, Michigan to the late Leroy Ermel and Leona (Ryder) Andrews. She grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Beecher High School with the class of 1953, completing her senior year as a newly married woman.
On June 14, 1952 she married the love of her life, Wayne Moss in Flint, Michigan. At just 10 years old and 12 years old respectively, they proclaimed their love for each other at an early age and built a life marked by deep affection, partnership, and fun over the 80 years that followed.
Prior to her retirement in the 90’s, Carol worked for Henry H. Steven’s Moving and Storage Company as Executive Secretary with decades of service. Outside of work, she raised two sons, Steven Moss and David Moss, and helped house and care for countless others like her own.
Carol was bright, kind, and can-do. She gracefully balanced a successful career and full home life, never missing an opportunity to cook delicious food for her loved ones. She was truly the order to Wayne’s whimsy. Together, they hosted family and friends with pool parties, horseback rides, and game nights filled with laughter. They also served their church family faithfully as fellow members and group leaders, most recently at Fellowship Baptist Church in Clio, MI. Carol deeply loved her savior, Jesus Christ. She held this relationship at the core of her life, praying fervently and striving to act with Christ’s love to others.
Carol developed long-lasting relationships through community involvement, quilting, and TOPs conventions. She had a knack for all things “pretty”. As a self-proclaimed “diva,” she had fun with fashion, makeup, jewelry, home decor, and gardening. Alongside her eye for beauty, she had a great joy of learning. She often saved interesting stories from the paper, trained herself to use new technology as it came out, and watched game shows on TV to guess answers alongside the contestants. Surviving are: children, Steven (Ruth) Moss, David (Beth) Moss; grandchildren, Jacob (Janie) Moss, Arianna (Zack) Todero, Brianna Moss, Luke (Olivia) Moss, Noelle (Cody) Alvarado; great-grandchildren, Selah, Sawyer, Macie, Lydia, Reid, Elleon, Margo; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Duane, Kendall, Donald, and Marilyn.
