Jean Marie (Michalski) Osika
Age 84 of Lennon passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at her home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11am Friday, January 23, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. David Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery . The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 8pm with a rosary prayed at 6pm.
Jean was born February 7, 1930 in Saginaw, the daughter of Edmund and Bernice (Marr) Michalski.
She graduated from St. Andrews Catholic School, class of 1947 and attended Miss Valentine Business School in Saginaw.
Jean married Vincent Osika in Sagniaw on October 2, 1954; he predeceased her in 2011.
She was a homemaker and spent her life raising her family along with taking care of the farm bookkeeping for her husband.
Jean is survived by her children Susan Osika, Vincent Osika Jr, Daniel (Carol) Osika, Mark (Jayne) Osika, Julie (Scott) Brown and Thomas (Jennifer) Osika; 8 grandchildren Ashley and Shelby Tyler, Kelly and Erick Osika, Abby and Adam Osika and Allison and Jayson Osika; many other loving family members.
She was predeceased by her husband Vincent, son-in-law Tom Hannen and sister Evelyn Hehnlin.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
