Luella Joyce Radtz Goddard, age 58, born in 1956 at Saginaw General Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan, passed away peacefully at 6:28 pm on April 30, 2015, at home in Holland. The daughter of Fredrick Radtz and Ruby Girard Radtz, Luella has resided in Holland since 1984. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Holland, a CNA for Meadow Brook Care Center and also worked for the transportation departments of Zeeland Public Schools and Holland Public Schools.
Surviving Luella Radtz Goddard are her children Chasta Meeusen and husband Todd of Muskegon, Shauna Champion of Holland, Scott Goddard and wife Amy of Holland. Luella has two grandchildren and one on the way and they are Tyler Meeusen, Colton Goddard and Reagan Goddard. Luella’s surviving siblings are Lavona Madison and husband Randy of Saint Helen, Melvin Radtz of Clermont, Wanda Downs of Sevierville, BillyJo Radtz of Wauchula, Berry Radtz and wife Caroline of Waterford, Barbra Saxton Alice, Terri Townsend and husband Larry of Gladwin, and Tony Radtz of Walker. Luella has 19 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Luella was preceded in death by her parents Fredrick Radtz and Ruby Girard Radtz and four siblings Fredrick W. Radtz, Erma Radtz , Wanda Snow, and Debra Radtz.
The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Holland at 12:00 noon, on Friday May 8, 2015, with Rev. Dale Byers officiating. Internment services will be held at Restlawn Memorial Gardens immediately after the service with a luncheon following at First Baptist Church in Holland.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 7, 2015, from 6–8 pm at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street, Holland MI 49424. A second visitation will be held Friday May 7, from 11–12 just prior to the funeral service at First Baptist Church of Holland, 1066 East 8th Street Holland MI 49423.
