STEWART, Ishmael - Of Flint, age 77, died Sunday, March 16, 2014 at his daughter’s residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Genesee County Humane Society.
Visitation 2-8pm Wednesday and 10am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Ishmael was born in Pike County, KY on January 14, 1937, the son of the late Clarence and Anna (Swiney) Stewart. On September 3, 1963, he married Anna Diaczenko in Clintwood, Virginia and they were married for 50 years.
Surviving are wife, Anna;
children, Tracy (Cindy) Stewart, Jacqueline (Jerry) Gawne, Michael Stewart and Lisa (John) DiTrani;
6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren;
2 sisters and 2 brothers;
and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
