MITRU Sr., Perry P. - age 69 passed away on April 16, 2016 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 19, 2016 from 6 PM – 8 PM at Hill Funeral Home – 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI 48439. Perry was born on November 10, 1946 in Flint, Michigan to the late Mr. George and Rena (Kucher) Mitru. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Perry worked for General Motors for 35 years starting his career at Fisher Body, and retiring from Buick City. He loved watching University of Michigan Football and his beloved Detroit Tigers. Perry’s favorite hobbies were golfing and fishing. He spent many joyful years growing pumpkins for competition with his friend of many years, Marv Mitchell. Perry loved his children and grandson dearly. He is survived by his children: Dawn (Doug) Kiewitt, Perry Mitru Jr.; and grandson Brennan.
