Harry William Wilson SR passed away on August 17, 2025. He was born July 22, 1937, to Walter and June (Pangburn) Wilson in Flint MI. He was the 4 the of 13 children. He graduated from Mandeville High School in 1955.IIn 1964 he married Alice (Johnson) in Flint, Mi with whom he shared 39 years of marriage. Together they raised 3 children. He worked for General Motors for 37 years, at both Fisher Body and Buick City, retiring in 1999. In his retirement years, he also worked for the Perry McDonalds and Perry Public Schools.
Harry was a devout Tigers and Lions fan, watching every game he could, win or lose. He was a member of United Pentecostal Church of Owosso for many years, serving in many capacities from usher to maintenance to church board trustee. His devotion to God and his family could not be wavered.
He was predeceased by his wife Alice in 2004, 4 brothers, Cliff, Bob, Norm and Jim, 1 sister Nancy. He is survived by his sons Walter of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Butch and Teresa of Holland, daughter Dawn and John Munro of Morrice. Grandchildren, Rachelle and Ashley Wilson, Abby and Luke Munro. Great Grandsons Zander and Atlantis. 3 brothers, Howard, Fred and John (Sandy). 4 sisters, Linda, Wava (Keith), Mary (Ken) and Sally (Jeff). Many nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to thank the staff at Compassus Hospice, The Willows at Okemos and Divine Living of Perry for making the last few months fun and comfortable for dad.
There will be visitation on Friday August, 22nd 6pm-8pm, with the service Saturday August, 23rd at 11am, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. All at his church, UPC of Owosso, 1425 N Hickory ST, Owosso MI 48867. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens |
