GREGOR, Marilyn – of Davison, age 85, passed away on March 29, 2025. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 W. Flint St., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Todd Frusti officiating. The family will welcome visitors from 11 AM until time of the service on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to Alzheimer's Association in honor of Marilyn.
Marilyn was born in Flint, MI, on September 26, 1939, to the late Chester and Irene (Atwell) Murphy. She married Kenneth Carrier on June 22, 1957, in Flint, Michigan, and together they raised three daughters. Later, she married Ronald Gregor on April 13, 1996, and he preceded her in death on February 25, 2014. After many years of dedicated service, she retired from Citizens Bank in 1998. Marilyn had a passion for golf and cherished spending time with family and friends. She was a warm and social person who loved hosting gatherings and bringing people together. A devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, Marilyn found joy in family and created lasting memories with those she loved. Her kindness, generosity, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed.
Marilyn is survived by her daughters: Luann (Tom) Thornburg, Nancy (Barry) Fenner, and Lori (Gary) Arnold; grandchildren: Craig Fenner, Christopher Fenner, Ryan (Emily) Thornburg, Jared (Jori) Arnold, Brandon (Morrissey) Thornburg, Joel Arnold, and Jordan (Casey Hadaway) Arnold; great grandchildren: Lucas Fenner, Adalynn Arnold, Carly Arnold, Franklin Thornburg, and Thomas Thornburg; siblings: Nola VanDyk and Chester (Karen) Murphy; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Ronald Gregor; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Jackie Murphy; brother-in-law, David VanDyk.
