HILL, Leonard “Bud” Thomas John – of Clio, age 95, passed away peacefully Friday, January 23, 2026, at his son’s residence. Funeral service will be held at 11AM Saturday, February 7, 2026, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. Pastor Dave Perry officiating. Burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 2PM until 8PM and on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions can be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.

Bud was born February 16, 1930, in Flint, Michigan to the late Walter and Adeline (Bell) Hill. He was raised in Mt. Morris, Michigan, and was a proud graduate of the Mt. Morris High School Class of 1948. He honorably served his country in the US Navy from 1948 to 1952, where he earned both the Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. He was united in marriage to Beverly Worthing at United Methodist Church in Mt. Morris, on March 20, 1954. She proceeded him in death in November 2002. Prior to his retirement, Bud owned and operated Hill’s Plumbing and Heating for many years. He also worked for General Motors as a Pipefitter, dedicating more than 20 years of service. Bud was a member of the Auto City Eagles Aerie # 3485. He enjoyed farming and using his mechanical abilities to fix just about anything. Bud enjoyed golfing, deer hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. He loved being in the woods and spending time on his backhoe. He loved water sports, including water skiing and canoeing. Genealogy was also a passion of his later in life. Bud and his son made maple syrup for many years on their property, a tradition they cherished.

Surviving are: Children, Vicky (Jim) Horn, Rhonda Wilson, Lenny Ann (Alan) Wheaton, Troy (Hope) Hill; Grandchildren, Mitchell (Amanda) Wilson, Jordan Wheaton, Jacob Wheaton; Great Grandchildren, Emma Wilson, Julia Wilson. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Wife Beverly Hill; Grandson, Aaron Hill; Siblings, Frances Fuller, Robert Hill, Kathleen Keeven.
