JANSEN, Jannie M. - of Flint, age 74, passed away October 17, 2015 at Briarwood Manor in Flint. A Funeral Service will be held 11AM Tuesday October 20, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Steve Turner officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8PM Monday. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the family.
Jannie was born in Flint, MI on November 28, 1940, daughter of the late Norman and Maxine (Ward) Schuch. She married Earl Jack Jansen and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2000. Jannie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and she loved her dog, Buddy, very much. She also loved playing the Wii, poker, bingo and cracking jokes. Jannie retired from Kearsley Schools after many years of service.
Jannie is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline M. Luney, Marie M. Arnold; granddaughter, Gabrielle Alexa Arnold; brother, William “Tom” (Geraldine) Schuch; sister, Sharon Rizk. She was preceded in death by her brother, Norman Schuch.
