Rady, Patricia Mae (Cook), age 78 passed away on Sunday, June 8th, 2025, at her home. Cremation has taken place per her request no service will be held . A memorial gathering for family will be set at a later date.
Patricia was born in Flint, Michigan on November 15, 1946, the daughter of the late Harold and Verna (Davis) Cook. She graduated from Durand High School, Class of 1964. After graduation, she went to Beauty School and continued working as a Beautician until hiring in at General Motors in 1971. Patricia was an active member in the local 668 UAW. She spent most of her career with GM at Buick City, also working at Lake Orion Assembly and Saginaw Metal Casting Operations before retiring in 2006, after a dedicated 34.4 yrs.
Patricia resided in Durand and Swartz Creek, Michigan most of her life until retirement took her to Nicholasville, Kentucky for many years working for Walmart before returning back home in 2016, to be with family during her battle with dementia/Alzheimers, residing in Flushing Michigan until her passing.
Known as Pat or Pattie mostly, she will be remembered for her keen sense of fashion and her cars. She always made a statement of uniqueiness everywhere she went . Mom was guilty of being a tad bit outspoken but had a heart of gold. She always had and eye for beautiful things and noticing quailty detail alng with her passion to shop!!! When she wasn't shopping or working, you could find her in her yard. She always had a gorgeous yard and even made it into Better Homes and Gardens magazine once. Landscape, home remodeling & decorating was her thing. Always watching HGTV on television to improve her home in which she found great pride.Crafting, shooting pool and bowling were some of the others places she found joy. Some of her late comforts were sitting outside eating ice cream, enjoying the warmth of the sun, and watching her flowers bloom with her beloved Boston terrier Lexie.
Patricia is survived by her daughters, Tiffanie (Robert) Wright, Teria Rye (Ryan Leix); grandchildren, Bobby Wright, Jessica Wright, Alexia Rye, David Rye; and two great-grandchildren, Emma Wright & Aubriana Wright; two sisters, eldest sister, Mary Jean Greenway and youngest, Susan McComb.
She was preceeded in death by her parents; ex-husband, Donald Rady; and many others she held special.
