MONSOUR, Joyce Elaine - Of Grand Blanc, age 87, passed away Friday, September 11, 2026, at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at St. George Orthodox Church, 5191 Lennon Road, Flint,
Rev. Father Michael Bassett officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 4-8pm Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Trisagion service will be held at 7pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10:30am Wednesday at church until the time of the service.
Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. George Orthodox Church.
Joyce was born in Flint, Michigan on June 16, 1939, the daughter of the late Alexander and Eva (Faris) Monsour. She was a member of St. George Orthodox Church. Joyce was employed with General Motors for 35 years in the Human Resources Department.
Surviving are devoted loyal companion, Emmanuel Attard;
sister-in-law, Barbara Monsour;
cousins, Nancy (Michael) Silpoch, Linda (Matthew) Shadeed and Richard Shaheen;
Goddaughter, Sharon (Rick) Ballreich;
and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Eva Monsour, brother, Dr. Roger D. Monsour, cousins, Debra Salim and Patsy Haddad, aunts, Mamie Shaheen, Mary Salim and Lila Faris and uncle, Lester Faris.
