He was a graduate of Holy Family School, Grand Blanc High School, Mott College, and U of M Flint. He was a talented and passionate composer/musician. He enjoyed creating poetry and art as well.
He was passionate about the detailed, technical side of home computing and was active in this with his close friends.
Michael was a longtime member of the Grand Blanc Huntsman’s Club and very accomplished at skeet, always placing near the top of the Winter Skeet League and CANUSA events.
Michael’s heart was focused on those in need, helping, where he could, the impoverished, the mistreated, and those in pain.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents: Michael and Catherine Baker; sister Rev. Sarah Baker of Grand Blanc; sister Laura with husband Shane Zylstra of New Hudson; and niece Audrey Zylstra. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and second cousins. Michael considered his lifelong friend and cousin Jeremy O’Harris a brother. He also treasured lasting, close friendships with Kurt, Graham, and Chris. He loved and was loved by his cat, Monkey.
